I’m running version 1.2.0.206. We have set up the allowedfromemails.txt and pointed it to the excluded FROM email section. However I have an email address that is added in this list and it’s still being blocked. The error she gets back is: It contains keywords rejected by the antispam content filter.
I’m not sure what the keywords that are rejected are. If the user is in the allowedfromemails.txt file, why is it still being blocked and how do I fix this? Thanks. Mark |

Mark, First, if you look at the rejection DETAILS, you will see which keyword expression caused the block. Also, the AllowFrom, if I understand correctly, is the SMTP From and not the "Envelope" from so be sure it is actually seeing the correct address. If all else fails, I recomend you zip up your "rules" files and your log that has the entry and send to support@logsat.com Dan S.

Mark, Users that are added in the "Excluded FROM" whitelist should not be blocked. Can you please email us at support@logsat.com your: SpamFilter.ini file With this info we'll be able to find out what is happening. Roberto F. |

Some of the white list entries contained trailing spaces and tabs. Currently SpamFilter does not "trim" spaces and tabs from the various black/white lists. Even though this would be a simple task to perform, we did not implement it in order to achieve better performance in cases where users have lists of several MBs in size. The files need to be in the correct format, users have to ensure that there are no extra spaces as SpamFilter will use the entries exactly as they are entered. Roberto Franceschetti |
