Is it just me, or does it seem like the SFDB is being particularity aggressive against hotmail, msn, yahoo & gmail recently? I can't believe the number of false positives against these free email domains.
I know it is an automated system, but wow! We are currently sitting at more than 5 million IP's in the database. |

I'm seeing it too. Getting a few calls from customers asking why so many emails from those domains are hitting a wall due to the SFDB. I might try increasing the matches threshhold and see if that loosens things up a bit.

Us too. One of our users just about had an aneurysm when some of his incoming mail was blocked and he had to look through his quarantine report, and I got to spend a long weekend at the office sorting things out for everybody

We saw the same problem today, and did discover an issue with our SFDB database that has been preventing the automatic removal of IPs that were no longer sending spam. As IPs stop sending spam (or the flow of spam greatly decreases), they are automatically removed from the SFDB within 24 hours. This automatic delisting process has not been working correctly for the past 5 days, and has prevented "sanitized" IPs from being delisted.
We have solved the issue with our SFBD web service as of 3PM (EST) today. Our sincere apologies to everyone, we have never had any issues with our SFDB service since its implementation back in 2006 - this is our first failure in over 4 years. Not seeing any failures in the SFDB so long has obviously induced us in being less attentive, and this was a big mistake.

Geez, glad I mentioned it. I should have realized when something was up. We normally see 60% - 61% of messages being stopped as a result of SFDB. That number has gone up over 70%, I just thought it was working better than normal. Guess I should have started investigating when I noticed that.
