I've been getting quite a few of these in my log files, any idea whats causing them/ I had noticed that there was a fix back on the 718 version. I'm currently running the 730 version stand alone.
Exception occurred during TestForReject: Socket Error # 10054 -- Connection reset by peer. Then later in the log I started getting this in the log as well. 12/16/07 13:19:12:457 -- Exception occurred during IncrSFDB_WebErrorsUpload: Access violation at address 00413ADA in module 'SpamFilterSvc.exe'. Read of address 00000005 12/16/07 13:19:12:467 -- Exception occurred during DecrSFDB_WebErrorsUpload: Access violation at address 00413ADA in module 'SpamFilterSvc.exe'. Read of address 00000005 12/16/07 13:34:05:100 -- Exception occurred during IncrSFDB_WebErrors: Access violation at address 00413ADA in module 'SpamFilterSvc.exe'. Read of address 00000005 12/16/07 13:34:05:110 -- Exception occurred during DecrSFDB_WebErrors: Access violation at address 00413ADA in module 'SpamFilterSvc.exe'. Read of address 00000005 12/16/07 13:34:05:110 -- Exception occurred during IncrSFDB_WebErrorsUpload: Access violation at address 00413ADA in module 'SpamFilterSvc.exe'. Read of address 00000005 There was allot more errors than I reported here that are the same, but you get the idea. I ended up doing a service shut down and restart and it came back to normal for now. Michael,
The error: Exception occurred during TestForReject: Socket Error # 10054 -- Connection reset by peer. most of the times indicates that the remote server disconnected from SpamFilter before sending the email contents, and so it's actually pretty normal. If it happens with a connection for a specific IP that is trying to send legitimate emails, then we'd need to see the logs containing mltiple such attempts so we can try to find out what is happening. In regards to the other errors, "Access violation at address 00413ADA in module 'SpamFilterSvc.exe'", these appear more serious. Most likely however, these errors are side-effects of something else that happened earlier. Could you please zip and email us SpamFilter's activity logfile for the 15th and 16th, so we can go thru them and see if we see anything? If the zip is larger than 8MB, please upload them to our FTP site. I'll send you the login information via PM in the forum. |
