We have made available in the registered user area the pre-release
version of the new SpamFilter v2.6.3.467. The main new feature in v2.6
is the ability to activate/deactivate individual filters for each of
the local domains for which SpamFilter handles emails. This will reduce
the need to run multiple instances of SpamFilter for administrators who
need to apply different filtering settings for some of their customers.
The major changes from the last official release are as follows: // New to VersionNumber = '2.6.3.467'; {TODO -cNew : New tab allows to enable/disable any filter on a per-domain basis, allowing further customizations for your local domains} // New to VersionNumber = '2.5.2.462'; {TODO -cFix : Logfile was not flushed to disk until SpamFilter terminated or the log rotated - bug was introduced in build 461} // New to VersionNumber = '2.5.2.461'; {TODO -cNew : Added RealtimeDiskLogging option in SpamFilter.ini file to have log being flushed to disk with every entry} {TODO -cNew : Added DoNotAddIPToHoneypot option to SpamFilter.ini file to prevent certain trusted IPs from being blacklisted by the honeypot filter} {TODO -cNew : Changed the logging on screen performance to increase reliability and have a smoother scroll} // New to VersionNumber = '2.5.2.459'; {TODO -cFix : SURBL Do Not Quarantine setting was saving, but the mail was still not being quarantined} // New to VersionNumber = '2.5.2.458'; {TODO -cFix : Could save the SURBL Do Not Quarantine setting} {TODO -cFix : Could not empty the SURBL list, the default multi.surbl.org list was re-added automatically} {TODO -cFix : AutoWhiteList was not always case-insensitive} |

Roberto,
I think I found a bug in the v2.6.3.467 release. In the custom domain filters and you have an option unchecked and you try to check it and save it. It never does save the changes. I was on the wrong option (Antivirus) and unchecked it and saved. I then realized and tried to check it again and save it reverts back to the unchecked status. Also, the AllowedDomainFilterMatrix.txt does it reload like the other files do? Thanks, |

Roberto, Can you post the file layout for AllowedDomainFilterMatrix.txt to do manual file editing. What option each 1/0 switch is. Thanks, |

Roberto, One more thing. Can settings the creation of the AllowedDomainFilterMatrix.txt with a new domain use the settings of SF that is currently in the configuration options area as a default. We have over 200 domains in our sf and we have some of the settings turned off and when the creation of the AllowedDomainFilterMatrix.txt for the first time. It turned on everything and I had to go through each domain and turn off the settings off. Thanks, |

Dan,
For the 1st post, please make sure you click away from the row you're currently editing before saving the settings. Currently SpamFilter is not able to save the current's row settings if it's still being edited. For the 2nd post, we'll update the documentation to include a "header" for that file. In the meantime... each entry corresponds to a column in the GUI's interface, they have the same order. So the 1st "1 or 0" is for the Domain BlackList, the 2nd "1 or 0" is for the Email From Blacklist, and so on. A "1" if for a checked option, a "0" is for an unchecked option. For the 3rd question, we'll also be updating the documentation. If a "global" setting in SpamFilter is enabled, then the corresponding local setting for an individual domain controls whether the filter is on or off. If however a global setting is disabled (for example the Reverse DNS filter is not enabled in SpamFilter's global settings), then that filter is disabled no matter what the local filter setting is on the new filtering tab. |

This is a great add on to spamfilter! I bought it as soon as i read this new add on. Only two questions about personlized domains settings: - will be possible to add not only an on-off settting, but an off-quarantine-discard option as we can in the general settings? - for the maps rbl, will be possible to set the min matching number to discard/quarantine? Thank you, Simone |

In the near future we'll be trying to improve this new setting by
allowing more options. This will mainly involve customizing the
black/white lists so each domain can have their own. As far as the two
requests you made, that was honestly not planned, we've added them to
the wish list however, so they may be considered in a future build.

I notice that it need a restart before adding a new added local domain to the custom domain filter, is that true?

You should not need to, that would be a bug. We've been able to
reproduce it, and will have it fixed in the next build (to be released
within the next 12/48 hours).
