SPF was never meant to completly eliminate spam, but only to prevent email spoofing, where spammers use fake "from" email addresses. These "fake" addresses can be aol, earthlink, your own customers, or some poor innocent sould who would all of a sudden receivive thousands of emails saying "don't spam me" form people who received spam apparently from him. SPF will prevent this from happening in the future. The fact that spammers use SPF themselves simply means that they'll have to use a real domain they somehow own or control to send emails from, without "stealing" someone else's identity. Roberto F.
