Ok, so maybe it's not so small lol, but what about an Attachment Whitelist? Here's my thought... I want to only allow ZIP, RAR, and TXT maybe a couple others in, and block everything else by default. In the attachment blacklist I put '*' and then in the whitelist I put the exceptions to it. Is there a way to do this already maybe? I tried a couple tests but didn't see an obvious method for it. bill |

Bill, There should not be a way to specify an attachment whitelist in SpamFilter (I say "should" since there's alway geniuses out there who can make the impossible become true...). Even if we were to implement it, it may be tricky to configure for admins. For example, emails sent with Outlook usually contain a .dat attachment with the email itself. You'll need to whitelist that to receive Outlook-generated email. But if you whitelist that, then any Outlook users can send any kind of attachments in his email since it's already whitelisted. But we're always open to ideas, so let's wee how this thread develops... Roberto F. |
