    Posted: 20 February 2004 at 6:17am

I have some emails which were reportedly queue'd, but they don't seem to be being sent on even though other emails are forwarding on nicely. I've reduced the queue flush time to 10 mins and I've also tried manually flushing the queue via the 'Flush Now' button but they still haven't arrived at the destination mailbox.

As I can't seem to find any way of seeing what has been queue'd or push them through I would appreciate any help.

Mike,

SpamFilter places in the SpamFilter/queue directory messages that are queued for delivery. Normally the delivery happens so fast that you will not see any files in that directory. If there are problems connecting to your destination SMTP server, the emails will remain in the queue until your server is back online, and they are then delivered.

If you do not see any emails in the queue directory that usually means that your destination SMTP server rejected them when SpamFilter attempted to forward them to it. In that case (SpamFilter forwards an email to the dest. smtp server but it's rejected - ex. non existent user, mailbox full errors) SpamFilter will send a Non-Delivery Notification to the sender to inform them of the problem.

If you can forward us on the forum or at support@logsat.com the section of the SpamFilter's activity log for the day of the problem, along with the FROM and TO email addresses in question, we'll take a look for a better explanation.

Thanks for reply, I think you've hit the nail on the head. Probably an oversized email, I'll be back if we need further assistance but I think we are all right now.

Many thanks
