I think most people use some sort of ldap compliant directory on the backend (active directory etc) so... What about the possibility of having spamfilter query via ldap the intended recepients on the email to see if they exist. This could be done early in the email scanning stage to reduce processing. something to think about.... Thanks. |

We've given that thought in the past, but opted to concentrate on more anti-spam functionality instead.SpamFilter has a whitelist for allowed recipients, and that list is autmatically reimported dynamically by SpamFilter should the file with the addresses be modified by another application. It's very simple to schedule an export from the ldap directory to that whitelist, which will immediatley (within 60 seconds) be reloaded by SpamFilter.Roberto F.
