There is an increase in PDFs that contain a rather large spam image for potential investors advertising stocks.
Unfortunately the default settings of our new PDF filter in SpamFilter will cause it to skip it, as the image size is above the limits imposed within SpamFilter. We recommend users to change these image size limits so that these PDFs can be scanned for spam images. The change is rather simple. Just change increase the following value in the Filters.ini file from 800 pixels to 1600: SpamPDFMaxPixelHeight=1600 There's no need to stop/restart SpamFilter, the change will be immediate. Please note that the image filtering settings can be customized individually for each domain. So if you're running SpamFilter Enterprise, they will be in the "Filters.ini" file specific to the domain in question under the \SpamFilter\domains\domain name\Filters.ini. The default settings for "ALL DOMAINS" will be in the "\SpamFilter\domains\ ALL DOMAINS\Filters.ini". If you're running SpamFilter ISP "standard", the file will be in the directory "\SpamFilter\domains\SFI\Filters.ini" Edited by LogSat |

Hi Roberto,
i found SpamPDFMaxPixelHeight=1600 in SpamFilter.ini not in Filter.ini. Do you mean we have to add it?

Whenever we add new options in SpamFilter, they always have default values. The actual entry is only added to the SpamFilter.ini file after the "Save Settings" button is used at least once. When saving the settings, all the "hidden" new options will be then written to the ini file.
That was the long explanation. In short, you should be able to see the new entry after clicking on the "Save Settings" button. |
