Hello, I have installed the ASP web pages as per instructions on these forums but still getting a "HTTP 500 - internal server error". Its a brand new win2003 server install so nothing is running yet to conflict. Any ideas anyone? Thanks |

Stupid thought but, IIS6 often does not enable ASP by default. Make sure a simple asp page will load first. If not, try an html page. If that loads, ASP is not enabled and you will need to do so in the IIS settings.

Thanks Dan. This was the case to begin with but I read some other articles on here about that and enabled it. (Seems another microsoft daft default setting!). When I enabled asp I then got this internal server error instead. Any further thoughts? Thanks |

In my experience, 500 errors on known good scripts are often permissions issues. Make sure that the IIS processes have the proper permissions to execute scripts in your web folder.
