I'm running Spamfilter on a Windows 2000 server with Terminal services enabled. When I log on locally to the server I can manage the Spamfilter service. However when I log in through terminal services I cannot access and manage the service. Is there a way to enable the management through terminal services without having to stop the Spamfilter service and run standalone?

Regards,

Zaphod

I don't think so. Unless you are using windows server 2003 with the /console switch you will need to use vnc or pcAnywhere etc to actually to control the console if you want to manage spamfilter.

Zaphod,

This has been discussed extensively in the forum. Unfortunately Windows 2000 Terminal Services do not allow to see the server's console, and thus the admin GUI is not visible with Terminal Services under that OS. Windows 2003 Terminal Services do not have that limitation.

The GUI will be visible if remoting in with PCAnywhere, Remote Desktop, VNC and other remote-control applications which are able to display the actual screen of the server.
