Hello All, Curious if anyone has any experience running in a cluster environment? Through my reading it would appear I can run multiple instances of Logsat and point them all to the same SQL database. I am considering this as it would allow me to run multiple MX records, plus share the load, plus some redundancy during upgrades.
Can anyone share their experience? Anyone running these services in Virtual Server 2005?
I'm also curious if this would require another license of Logsat to accomplish?

I'll answer for the "yes" on the required license for additional servers on the other MX records. Of course SpamFilter will also be able to work as you asked, but we'll let other users answer you so you can receive unbiased opinions.

TechSquared,
I am not sure "Clustered" is the correct term as it implies actual clustered servers via Windows Server OS features (expensive). However, as long as your Database server is robust and solid, multiple servers is not a problem. We have 2 servers in 2 geographical locations with 2 MX records per domain. As you say, if one is down for service or re-boot, the other picks up the slack.

Where is the database housed to make this efficient, or do you synchronize SQL between the two servers? |

My database is actually on my primary server and is a very beefy server. I do not recomend replication unless you EXCLUDE the actual quarantine.
