Because Spam Filter ISP passes the email to the SMTP server what happens if the receiving server is unavailable?
Does the filter store the email until connectivity to the receiving mail server is restored? If so, how long will it keep it and/or retry forwarding it to the server? Thanks. |

saracen ,
Spamfilter will queue the emails until your smtp server becomes available again. It stores the emails in the \queue folder. Each email message will have a .rcpt and a .tmp file.
As for how long spamfilter will try... You can set that with this setting in the spamfilter.ini file:
;Number of hours SpamFilter will retry to deliver messages in queue to your destination SMTP server if it was unreacheable. Enter 0 to try forever until back online.
ExpireRetryQueueHours=0 Hope that helps
