I have upgraded to version 3.5.3.662 and I experience frequent random lockups of the application. When these lockups appear, it seems that the smtp part is active, in fact, if I telnet to port 25 the service responds but as soon as I start the smtp transaction nothing happens. In the logs I find no errors being reported and my connection does not appear... Can I do something to have more information logged? Is anyone experiencing this? For the moment I reverted back to 3.1.3.615 and everything is back to normal...

luigi,
Can you please zip and email us SpamFilter's activity logfile for a day this happened? Even if there are no errors, there may be other information that can help us finding the problem. If the file is over 5MB in size, please contact us by email so we can provide you with an FTP site for the upload. |

Rifleman,
Are you using MySQL as a database? If so, can you please check to ensure you're not running the MySQL ODBC Drivers v3.51.14 that were recently released? That version of the drivers has a bug that causes crashes in some of the ODBC DLLs, and from your error it appears you are having the same symptom. We're working with the MySQL developers to help them find the problem, but in the meantime the only solution is to install the MySQL ODBC Drivers v3.51.12 or earlier. We do have this in SpamFilter's new documentation, but I just realized we're missing this alert on the forum. I'll create one right away. |

Luigi,
We've just release SpamFilter v3.5.3.572. While we were not able to reproduce the lockups you reported, during the past weeks we made major changes in several sections of code that hopefully will address your problem. |
