Hi

I would like to quarantine all emails with attachments I put in the "Attachment" BL. But if the sender of the email is in any WL, the email with attachment goes through. Can I disable all WL for attachments?

Thx
Regards Wayne

Sorry Wayne, but whitelists will bypass all filtering rules with only two exceptions:
  • The antivirus filter (if this optional plugin has been purchased)
  • The Maximum message size

Roberto

Thx for the fast response.
Isn't that something for the wishlist? The ability to choose in every BL if they will bypassed trough the WL or not?

Regards
Wayne

Roberto,

I agree with Wayne, it would a great feature if we could treat the non-allowed attachements as a security risk, just like a virus and block them no matter what.  A single checkbox stating "overide whitelists" or "block always" on the attachement screen would do the trick (with some changes in the code of course).  And while we're at it, a more robust method of determing the type of attachement would be great.  Currently, a simple rename allow any .EXE to get inside.
