Is it possible for the spamfilter to verify the recipient's email address with the backend server BEFORE it accepts the incoming mail?

It seems a majority of spams are sent to non-exisiting users in my case.

This is one of the best features of spamfilter.  As you probally already know you should populate the local domain whitelist for all of your valid domains.  If you also want to verify email addresses then list all the valid email addresses from your mail server into the 'Authorized To emails list.' Once you start this list spamfilter will only deliver email to one of these listed addresses. Hope that helps.

Not really. I guess unless i have another Spamfilter ISP running behind the first one, every user listed in "Authorized To" email list will get their spam without filtering.

Does the Spamfilter license allows to have 2 installation?

The Authorized To emails list is not so much a White list as it is the verification list that you are looking for. Spam filter will simply check there first and if the address is listed in the Authorized To, then it will process the additional White/Black list. If the address is not listed in the Authorized To, communications are disconnected. We use it here with little problems. Only down fall is getting the Authorized To list built. In our case it is lose to 1500 email addresses. Maintenance to this list is also a pain, but worth it.

For us populating the Authorized To list was automated.  Our email server has it's data in an SQL server database.  We poll the database and output a current list for Spamfilter.  We are a small hosting company and our customers manage their domains email accounts.  We wrote a server service that looks for changes to this data and if it changes (client admin) a new Authorized To list is written out for the spamfilter. For us this has worked well, and does not require manual updates of the data.
