Hi roberto,

My users have a bit of a problem with the web-interface, because they have mail aliases.

You see, we use 2 domains, domain.nl and domain.com (in future also domain.eu). I have setup the mail server to accept .nl as inbound,  .com mails are relayed to .nl (the main zone). As such we have aliases, me at domain dot com is relayed to me at domain dot nl.

On top of that we have short, internal mailbox names, with additional aliases with the user friendly names.

Mails sent to any of the aliases end up in the same mailbox, however, SPF treats them as different mailboxes.

When the users wish to check their spam-QDB they have to check every alias, and they have to manage 4 different passwords. Did i miss something in the setup? can this allready be combined or do we need a new feature that combines the 4 different mail adresses?

Please advise Roberto (or anyone with knowledge on the subject)

Marco,  I have updated the interface to include several things.  Some of them borrowed from other SF users and some my own.  One  is the abillity to have SF send an email to people with a list of the spam they have in thier Primary account and all aliases, and a link to the web interface with use name and password.  The web inface shows all associated addresses and is completely customizable by the end user.  I am using Access, but will be modifying it to mysql soon.  I can send you some screen shots and/or walk you through the process of setting this up on your server if you like?  Just post a reply here and we will go from there.  I can send you all the source code to if that will help.  In addtion, I have built an add-in for OUtlook that allows users to identify Blacklist addresses and this will automatically enter them into the SF black list on our server.  This has reduced the number of calls/emails I get with this request.  POWER TO THE PEOPLE LOL.  The interface was well designed by Logstat and is fairly easy to modify.

John,

I would be interested in a bit of ASP to accomplish 2 main tasks:

1 - allow users a workaround for multiple aliases and email addresses (ideally checking only 1 login)

2 - setup a notification system so that users are sent an email every x days listing the contents of the quarantine.  Ideally, the user could set the number of days per user. The email would contain a link to login to the quarantine without needing a password.

I would be willing to purchase code that will work for us.  If anyone is interested, PM me with your thoughts and prices.
