Roberto, would it be possible to have an option where, item's tagged as spam in the subject line could also be redirected to a different smtp server?

So if an email is seen as spam

tagged with :SPAM: in the subject line

and instead of being forwarded on to the normal smtp gateway it could be diverted a different smtp server.

Kevin

Kevin,

We've thought about this one for a while. If more users ask for this feature we may consider adding it in the future. For now however, I honestly do not foresee implementing in the near furure.

How hard would this be to implement? It would REALLY help us in our redundant off site situation.

Perhaps it's one of those ideas where people wouldn't know they need it until they are able to play with it?

Kevin,

That actually turned out to be rather simple to implement. In a private email you'll receive the link to download an alpha build to test it.

To use, simply stop SpamFilter, add the following two lines to the SpamFilter.ini file, in the [server settings] section:

DestSMTPServerForSPAM=servername.domain.com

DestSMTPServerForSPAMPort=25

And restart. All emails tagged as spam will be forwarded to that server rather than the default one. Please note that if you specified custom destination SMTP server for a particular domain in the local domains list, this will not work.
