Hello,

I am trying to use the subject filter method for the keywords filter.  The messages I am trying to stop start with SEXUALLY-EXPLICIT in the subject.  So I put the following in keywords filter:

(Subject:SEXUALLY-EXPLICIT)

The messages are still coming through, so how do I word it to stop them?

Thanks.

Hillard

What you need to do is look at the raw data in the file. Usually I have found that what displays as plain text actually has embedded characters or HTML code. Open one of the messages in outlook express then right click and choose properties then look at the details tab to verify there is nothing unexpected.

Good Luck

Thanks, however I checked it is plain text and it is in the Subject field, is that the problem does subject filtering not work yet?

You can filter the subject in the keywords. Use the following format:

SUBJECT:<words to block>

Note that there are no spaces between the : and the words to block.

Oops. Sorry, did not read that properly.

My problem with the subject filtering is that it sits in the Keywords and does not allow the use of wildcards.

Our solution to problems such as this is simple, we only accept plain text emails.
