Looking at the console of the program, it says something like this: 10-29-03 15:48:24:031 -- (1780) ........ What is the number in ( ) - threadID perhaps ? I could use a unique ID for each message arriving, can that be made ? / Allan |

Allan, SpamFilter creates a new thread to handle each incoming message. The number in parenthesis is the thread ID assigned by Windows to that particular thread. When SpamFilter finishes processing the message, the thread terminates, and the ThreadID number is released. Windows can then reassign the same number to a new thread. While the same ThreadID cannot be assigned to more than one thread at the same time (it is a unique ID only in any specific point in time), it can be reused, making it not unique for any timespan.
