Hi All, I have put on the keyword filter the following line "gain, pro" (without '"") i have noticed that mails with the words again and professional are also quarantine. As much as i rememeber it should work this way, the filter is looking for the words gain & pro and not inside words...
Any Ideas? Thanks. |

The keyword filter performs substring searches, meaning it will look for the letters "gain" anywhere in the text. Words like again, bargain, against will trigger a match. The more keywords are required for a match, the less chances the will be for false positives. But the less spam will be caught... Choosing the right keywords is something that is not easy unfortunately... Roberto Franceschetti |

As a Trick... Try adding a space before the word gain and pro (ex " gain, pro"). This will look for these exact matches.

Why use such simple keywords. Both of those words would be uced by a lot of normal email users. I would think that if you are tring to block SPAM messages there would have to be better keywords in the SPAM that could be used to filter them.

Maybe SpamFilter should search for " gain " or " gain[,.] " instead of "gain" Abdu |
