Using latest build 467.  SpamFilter passes any sender client IP address if the lookup domain TXT record includes the "a" identifyer even though not a match for any A record in the domain.

So basically if the SPF record is only the a or includes the a SpamFilter incorrectly passes the check.

Matt,

Can you please post or email us the domain in question and the client IP address so we can look into this?

It's not domain specific.  If you have DNS control over a domain you can test by creating an TXT record that includes only the a specifyer or add the a specifier as you have done with logsat.com and now SpamFilter approves every client IP.

idp.net does not have it now.

pcgalaxy.com still has the a

SpamFilter works correct for idp.net and approves every IP for pcgalaxy.com

Matt,

You're once more absolutely correct. Thank you for the report. The bug was introduced in build 2.5.2.456. We're reviewing the code now and will post a fix shortly.

Will this likely get resolved when the mx SPF problem is resolved?

Absolutely. The new build I mentioned in the other SPF posting does include both fixes for the two separate issues you reported.

How can I get this new build so I can turn SPF back on?
