I think greylisting is the best thing since the slice of bread.

Here's a summary on the amount of mesgs we quarantined before and after we implemented greylisting:

1/28/2008 Total    1341
1/27/2008 Total    1165
1/26/2008 Total    1089
1/25/2008 Total    1463
1/24/2008 Total    2015
1/23/2008 Total    882
changed to greylisting
1/19/2008 Total    7254
1/18/2008 Total    9315
1/17/2008 Total    6552
1/16/2008 Total    5364
1/15/2008 Total    5540
1/14/2008 Total    4690

I am also tracking inbound connections, but don't have any solid number yet.

I love greylisting.....Here are our results for this month. As you can see, we implemented greylisting on Friday 11th Jan.
Not only has the number of spam emails dropped, but the number of virus emails is significantly lower. All in all, this has reduced the load on our SF machine and I have yet to have a complaint from any user !!!!!

Guys your figures are good but nothing compared to some of the other users in here.

I dont consider my operation large by any means, but we had up around 98,000 in quarantine prior to greylisting. We now are around 28,000. So yes its a huge decrease and I would have never guessed it to be this large. It shows that spammers can be stopped drastically with such an easy implementation.

I will chime in.  We dropped for 1.2 million to about 300K.  Really reduced the load on the server by a huge amount!

I have to admit that I'm happy to see this implimented finally.  As a AntiSpam Service, we get plenty of spam hitting our servers and this greylisting has significantly dropped our load off of the server by more than two thirds.  Good going SF team for getting this built in.  A great deal of the spam that was coming in was drive by hits and now, they have to make a second attempt within a certain time to get their junk to be even seen by the rest of SF filters.

quarantined email dropped down to 33% and i had NO ONE with email lost for this filter.

I'm having problems with SFDC filter that is too aggrssive, i'm using 15 as network reliability, which number are you using?

With 15 it is stopping always email with only subject and attachment...

Do you have the same problem?

We started at about 300k in the quaruntine, we're not sitting between 25,000 to 30,000. The impact of this filter is HUGE!
