All,

Where have I been?   ALL SPF Records I have see are TXT RR Records.  Now Microsoft states that they should actually be an "SPF RR" record.   However, their own dns server software doesn't support it.  Thoughts?

Hey Dan,

Can you elaborate a little on that?

well "SPF RR" probably not implemented in all dns server, but TXT is.

the  v=spf1 rule says SPF information is contained in a standard TXT RR (though a new RR type may be allocated * if*and when SPF reaches standardization by the IETF).

you are saying it has reached standardization??

I do not know.  I just know that when you check your SPS record VIA Microsoft's site, it fails because I have a TXT RR *NOT* an SPF RR.
