Hi there, I like to know if Spamfilter ISP v2.5.X adds any entires to windows registry as part of installation process. I like to move a filter from test environment to production server and would like to copy over the spamfilter subdirectory tree and reset its service.

does any one have the reg keys documented?

any issues?

appreciate your thoughts.

Alex2go,

SpamFilter, itself has no registry entries BUT the services (obviously) do and, if running AntiVirus, there is a key for that.  That one is fairly simple:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Norman Data Defense Systems]
"RootPath"="D:\\SpamFilterISP"
"NsePath"="D:\\SpamFilterISP\\nvc\\nse"

The services should be installed with something like the Windows Service Installer.  That is available from the Resource kit OR, if you like send an email to daseligmann at hotmail dot com and I will send you a link for the "SRVINSTW.EXE" file.
