Every time we try to save SMTP settings we get this error,

Could not bind socket. Address and port are already in use.

Scott,

2 possibilities.  First, if you already have an smtp server running on port 25 (assuming that is the port you are using) you will get this error.  Second, if you are running as a service and you try to launch the non service applette, you may get this allthough I am not sure you can even run the applett if the service is running.  You can only have one "listener" port per IP address so something is bound to the IP and port you are trying to use.  If you also have IIS running on that machine, see if the IIS SMTP service is running.  If so, there will be a conflict there unless you change it's port.
