Well I have had the same issue, I found it easier to not use the email to list and allow the mail server to bounce the email.

I have also attempted to contact support numerous times I am to the point of looking for another product, I cant see paying $400.00 that they are asking when the trial version is very buggy and often takes the system to max cpu load, and I cant even get support

Sir,

I am not with LogSat support ... I am a user.  I can not tell if you have posted before or not.  However, I believe that most of us will agree that we have received very good support for this product.  Having said that, exactly what issue are you having?  If you have not already done so, can you post what Database you are using and a simple description on how your servers are set up?

I am running several instances of SpamFilter and although I am now using a newer version, I ran 1.2.0.212 at relatively high traffic levels without incident (50-75,000 messages / day).  I am sure that either the forum members or LogSat support can figure out issue and get you rolling.

Regards,

Dan S.

Discouraged,

We are not mind readers yet... If you can explain what you mean by "Well I have had the same issue" we may be able to help. You will receive all the support as we can offer, even for non-paying customers, but please know that we will always give precedence to licensed users first.

If you are having any kind of problems with the "Authorized To" list, please see http://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/showmessage.asp?messageID=3100" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/showmessage.asp?messageID=3100" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/showmessage.asp?messageID=3100  for some pointers.

The CPU usage runs at 98-99% with spamfilter being the process using the CPU.
I also seem to have a memory leak with the spam filter program.
I am not using any data base currently but after a few hours with the filter running the service fails.
I have monitored the memory usage and it is the spam filter service, 200-300 meg usage.

The system ASUS mother board with dual 3.2 ghz Intel processors, 2 gigs ram, and 2 80 gig scsi hard drives.
Fresh install of Windows 2000 Server with all hotfixes and service packs installed.
MSSQL 7 with all service packs, Imail 8.05hf2, Webshiled with current data files,
 and SpamFilter ISP 1.2.0.212.

If I shut down SpamFilter all works as it should.
The Spamfilter Process dies several times per day causing  some emails which were  reportedly queue'd
but they don't seem to be being sent on even though other emails are.

The process also hangs using the Spamfilter GUI to view or change settings.

If you can zip up and email us at mailto:support@logsat.com" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - support@logsat.com a copy of the SpamFilter's activity log (/SpamFilter/logfiles directory) for one of the days where you had multiple service crashes we'll try to see if there are any problems that we can see.

Regarding the memory leak, can you please tell us how many incoming emails/day you receive, and on average home many concurrent incoming SMTP connections are being processed by SpamFilter? Even though you state you're not using the quarantine, please look in the "Quarantine" tab and ensure that the quarantined emails are not displayed inthe grid (click on "Hide List is so). Showing huge amounts of quarantined emails does use up a LOT of memory.

If SpamFilter crashes and there are emails queued to be delivered, the temp files are placed in the SpamFilter/queue directory. When you reatart SpamFilter, the queu is reprocessed immediately, and the emails should be delivered. If that is not the case, please also include the contents of the queue directory in the zip so we can look at those emails as well.
