logsat (registered) uses the geoip.dat as of march 2003,

however there is an update http://www.maxmind.com/app/country" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://www.maxmind.com/app/country" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://www.maxmind.com/app/country  (jan 2004)

is logsat going to provide (registered users) with an update ?

that would be a great service.

Just stopped by the geoip site and see that to get the update it is going to cost $50.00 to subscribe and $12.00 a month.

The newer versions of the GeoIP file will be included in the next official builds. In the meantime, you can download the updated version at http://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/pub/geoip.zip" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/pub/geoip.zip" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - http://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/pub/geoip.zip . To install, simply overwrite the olde version with the new one. Stopping SpamFilter before replacing the file is usually not needed, but since this procedure is rarely performed and has not been thoroughly tested, if your site experiences high email traffic I'd recommend stopping SpamFilter before.
