Jim,

SpamFilter is designed to handle incoming email traffic only. All your outgoing email should be processed by your regular SMTP server.

In any case, if you really want to have your outgoing email go thru SpamFilter first, you can do that by adding the IP ranges your customers use in the IP whitelist.

I can't get it to work under either domain or IP. Am I doing something wrong. I still get "Relay Not Permitted". I don't want to tell all my folks that the port changed. Any good work arounds?

Dave,

Usually SpamFilter is implemented without needing to have users change any of their email settings, leaving your existing SMTP server and its port as they are. This can be done (1) by modifying the DNS MX record for your domain to point to the IP SpamFilter is installed on, or (2) by leaving the DNS untouched and simply modifying your firewall to reroute incoming traffic on port 25 to SpamFilter's IP.

If you are in definite need to use SpamFilter to handle outgoing traffic, can you please post or email to mailto:support@logsat.com" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - support@logsat.com your SpamFilter.ini file, your "Excluded Domains / IPs" whitelist file, and the section of the SpamFilter's activity logs that show the denied email relay attempts?

It appears that this is no longer an option with...
// New to VersionNumber = '2.0.1.357';
{TODO -cFix : whitelisted domains were able to use SpamFilter as an open relay}
Is there any other option for allowing spam filter to continue forward local email other then reconfiguring email clients, or port redirecting local email?
