This is happening eratically. I have V3.558. It seems that Sf reject the email for the reason below and never quarantines it. I have allow % in address hoping to alleviate the issue but it still prevails. I have also checked to see if this happens all the time but it happened this morning, then when the sendre resent the email it went through. Any Ideas?

Rifleman,

If an email is rejected because of "no relay allowed", it is always (*) because the recipient's domain is not in your "local domains". As the email is thus not for you, there is no point in quarantining as it's usually just a spammer attempting to relay an email thru your system.

The (*) is to account for the exception when there is a "%" in the email address, which can also be rejected depending on your settings.

This said, it is rather strange that one email is rejected and another isn't. If the sender had mispelled the domain, it should not have resolved via DNS to your server.

To shed some light, can you please zip us SpamFilter's activity logfile for a day when you receive *both* the rejected and an accepted email. Please also include your SpamFilter.ini file and you "AllowedDomains.txt" file. Please let us also know the email addresses of the sender/recipient so we can find them in the logs.
