I have a problem with one of my Domains. This Domain consists of about 25 users of which only one of them cannot relay their email.

THe Domain is in the Local Domains list so I'm not sure what to check next.

The specific error is:

You are not allowed to send mail to....

How can I check for this in the logs and do you have any suggestions to correct this? I thought about having them delete their email account from their local workstation and creating a new one in case its was a problem on their end but this response is from SF in regards to "Response if relaying is restricted."

Thanks.

Maximus,

The "Local Domains" are the domains for which SpamFilter is to receive emails for. They are the domains you own/manage.

The "You are not allowed to send mail to" error occurs when someone tries to use SpamFilter as a relay to send emails to domains *not* in your Local Domains. If this is occurring with one user only, he's probably using SpamFilter as his "outgoing SMTP server" in his email client configuration. SpamFilter however will not relay/deliver any emails that is not addressed to one of the domains in the "Local Domains". The only way to bypass this is to add the user's IP address in an IP whitelist, which will then allow him to relay.

Thank you for a fast response.

Tech and User error. The user had the wrong outgoing SMTP server and the technician didn't check it.

**Check out my other post titled "100% CPU with Maximum Connections" when you get a chance.

This problem is of more importance for a resolution.

Thank you again.
