I know this is probably not going to be a high priority for the SpamFilter developers but the 1.2.0.178 version does not run on an NT4 system. I found this out after trying to upgrade the SpamFilter to support some better filtering features over the version we are currently running. It crashes when trying to launch. I tried various installation procedures and even tried installing on a plain NT4 server which has never had a previous version of SpamFilter installed. Both tested systems are at SP6a. It does run fine for me on Windows XP Pro and probably other versions of Windows as well. Will the new version support NT4? Is this an issue with a known resolution or workaround? Thanks,

Steve, SpamFilter runs just fine on NT4. Please note that versions up to 1.2.0.190 need MDAC to be installed on the server. If you're running the free version 1.2.0.178 you will fall in that category. If you do have MDAC installed already, please try updating it to MDAC 2.7 or above, as previous versions have problems. If all this is already doen, and you are still experiencing crashes, please provide us with a few more details (ex. dr watson logs) so we can take a look. Roberto F. |

Steve, If the MDAC is your issue, I can make 2.7 SP1 available on my server for you to download. I did have that on my NT Box so that issue was a NON issue for me. Dan S.
