    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/member_profile.asp?PF=8">LogSat</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 5140<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 28 May 2005 at 11:48am<br /><br />We were finally able to reproduce the problem thanks to Marco's files.<br><br>It is caused by the type of ODBC driver used for the connection.<br><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">For MS Access, we recommend using the "Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB Provider" rather than the OLE DB Provider for ODBC". <br></span><br>Under the "Settings - Quarantine DB" tab, clicking on the "..." ellipsebutton for the Connection String, the DB connection is specified withthe second "Use Connection String" line. In the "Data Link Properties"dialog box that follows, the driver used to connect to theSpamFilter.mdb Access database was "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBCDrivers". With the OLE DB for ODBC we were able to verify that thequarantine buttons did not work as expected.<br><br>The recommended way to connect to a database (Access or any other kind)is thru the use of .UDL files. Sample UDL files for the variousdatabase are in the SpamFilter\database folder. <br><br><span style="font-weight: bold;">For MS Access, we recommend using the "Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLD DB Provider" rather than the OLE DB Provider for ODBC".&nbsp; </span>This driver has limited functionality and is not recommended.<br><br>If JET provider is selected, the quarantine buttons work as they should.<br>]]>

With this bug screwing up normal operation i cannot do so.</P><P>Since i can not forward the false negatives any more, i will have to check the 'tag and forward' checkbox again.</P><P>The DB has now roughly 60 entries (yeah, a small company, not some big ISP :) )</P><P>sending the db to postmaster since i dont have your mail addy.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P>]]>
