How does anyone overcome the issues with multiple spam filters and only 1 sql database?

The only thing that I can come up with is this (and I may be way off!):  Setup the primary spamfilter and SQL either on the same machine, or right next to each other (on the same LAN).  Then, on the secondary spamfilter, use the "DestSMTPServerForSPAM" option to forward good mail the the intended destination server, and forward spam to the primary spam filter.  If the primary filter is offline, the secondary server will queue and hold the "spam" mail until the primary server is back online.

Any help / ideas would be appreciated.

Jerbo,

SpamFilter is already designed to work in an environment where multiple SpamFilter servers use the same database.

All you need to do is to configure SpamFilter to use the same database. SpamFilter will do the rest... Each instance of SpamFilter will "know" which spam emails it "owns" in the database. When a user accesses the web interface to force the delivery of an email that was tagged as spam, the original SpamFilter server that blocked the email willl see that, and will deliver the email.

What happens in the event that the sql is available?  Is my idea above workable?  What other options are there?
