I would like to have confirmed what i understood from this forum.

It is true that SF cannot be used as a stand alone SMTP server?

So if i put my granted IPs in Excluded Domains / IPs tab, all incoming emails will be forwarded to my destination smtp server?

To permit total relay to those IP i could only grant relay possibility to the SF IP ?

If i'm correct why you don't consider the option to give the possibility to add something like "1.2.3.4:RELAY" in that tab to give the direct relay possibility ?

Thnks,
Simone

Simone,

You're correct, SpamFilter cannot be used as a standalone SMTP server, it will only forward emails to the destination SMTP server (or dest. servers, as separate ones can be configured for each local domain).

The possibility to be eble to send email directly without forwarding it to your SMTP server is not being considered at the moment, sorry.
