Hi ,

Add these names (replacing yourdomainhere.com with your own domain) to your

'to emails' black list.  That will not solve the problem, but it will drop all of the mydoom emails that are hitting your server.

The only problem with this idea is that it also blocks legit emails. If I put this on my SF Blocked to list then I would not get any emails because my name is on the list as are many of my email clients.

I have been using .285beta for almost a week now and have been able to block about 95% of all Mydoom infected files and by using the SQL query that was posted on this site last week purge them from the DB as needed.

I would recommend that you try the latest beta and see how that works.

"Add these names (replacing yourdomainhere.com with your own domain) to your  'to emails' black list ". What do I do now?

You might want to consider a new email naming convention.  I've always used first initial + last mailto:name@mycompany.com" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - name@mycompany.com  .  (or mailto:firstname.lastname@mycompany.com" CLASS="ASPForums" TITLE="WARNING: URL created by poster. - firstname.lastname@mycompany.com ) That way if anyone tries to get in with a list of first names, they wouldn't succeed.

There's a setting under

settings>black/white lists

click 'to emails'

place in here the list of emails coming to your domain with non legitimate emails names that you want to block
