    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/member_profile.asp?PF=8">LogSat</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 6966<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 27 June 2011 at 5:09pm<br /><br />For the technical side of the question - the MAPS servers are searched in a single thread (for each incoming email), and processed in the order in which they are listed (the MAPS, SURBL and Keywords are the only blacklists which are not automatically sorted by SpamFilter when processed).<div><br></div><div>FYI in case one wonders why we don't multithread this... We tried multithreaded in the past (you may find traces of the old settings in the SpamFilter.ini file...) but surprisingly this turned out to be less efficient, especially since once we have a "hit" we stop processing the other MAPS DNS queries, which cannot happen if all the DNS requests were executed in parallel... Think about having 1,000 concurrent connections, and making 5 or 6 MAPS queries in parallel on each...     <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/member_profile.asp?PF=104">yapadu</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 6966<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 27 June 2011 at 6:31am<br /><br />Just wondering what people use for MAPS servers currently?&nbsp; I was noticing a large number of false positives coming from SORBS, so I did some checking on the MAPS we use.<br><br><br>Spamcop - 1.03% false positives<br>Barracuda - 0.12% false positives<br>Sorbs - 12.15 false positives<br><br>Obviously we have pulled SORBS out of the list, that is a crazy high % of false positives.<br><br>What are you using on your servers?<br><br>Also, how does spamfilter query them?&nbsp; Is the order in the list important, or are they all checked at the same time on a different thread?<br><br><br><br>]]>
