For a few days now, I have about 50 mails per day stuck in the queue. Trying to flush to queue manually always results in a socket error 10054, even if there is only 1 e-mail left in the queue.

All other mails get delivered without any problems though...

Running 3.5.3.674 in SFI mode.

Hey mike, it seems that if you have access to the receiving smtp server's smtp logs, it may give some info on why it disconnected SpamFilter.

If that doesn't help, http://www.logsat.com/spamfilter/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=5695&KW=socket+10054 - this post might , though it seems like the issue was a rarity... I'm doubting that it's your case, but it's possible.

Good luck.  Let us know if you're still stuck.

Stephen

Mikek,

I sometimes get messages "stuck" in the queue and they never go out even though I have an IP whitelist in the receiving server.  The only indication I get in the receiving server is "syntax error".  I usually ignore them and have the following setting in the ini file to prevent a queue build-up:

ExpireRetryQueueHours=hh .... where hh is the number of hours you want to keep messages in case the follow-on servers are dead or slow.  Mine is set to 24.

Mike,

Can you please post the entire line in SpamFilter's logfile containing the socket error when the emails are being forwarded?

If you can also zip the two files making up the message to us (the Indnnn.tmp and Indnnn.tmp.rcpt) we'll check to ensure they are valid message files.

We were able to reproduce this with a special combination of tagged/untagged addresses in the "Unfiltered Emails" and "AuthorizedTO" lists.

For some reason the list of recipients in the file "IndB3EB.tmp.rcpt" is separated by carriage returns. That list should be separated by commas instead.

It's definetly a bug, and we'll have this patched within a few hours.
