Customers have reported that emails from eBay are being delayed. I've taken a look at our logs and seen the following:

Any reason for this? This happened before and after upgrading to the latest registered user release.

It's possible that the above is just a "probe" from ebay to confirm the address is still valid. When the "RCPT TO" address is accepted, the sender would disconnect as it indicates them the address is OK. This is substantiated by the "from" email address used by ebay: mailto:listconfirm@ebay.co.uk - listconfirm@ebay.co.uk

Hi Roberto,

No these are actually emails the recipients are waiting for. I've seen the headers and it looks as though eBay tries but disconnects multiple times, and then passes the email over so another eBay mail server which is able to deliver the message ok. 

You can see in the email headers (when they are eventually received) that the email stays on eBay server '1', until it is passed to server '2' and then delivered, during which time we see multiple log entries for the same sender/recipient which are accepted but then disconnect.
