517 does not parse multiple recipients correctly consistently or at all.  Only the first recipient receives the email! We had compaints from customers and then did our tests and confirmed.  Here are our log entries from SpamFilter and whitelisted domain server.  Putting SpamFilter back to version 515 solved the problem.  I've masked our IP's and modified email addresses for security purposes.  We tested and the problem exists at least with Exchange 2000 and 2003 Server receiving from SpamFilter.

Hmmm ... I just tested 6 RCPT to and all were delivered.  3 were on one server and 2 on another and the last on a third server.  2 servers were Sendmail and one was Hotmail (whatever they use).

Sounds like if your servers are Unix you're in good shape with 517.

We've been running on the same Windows servers for two years with no problems like this until 517 build was put on last night.

Matt,

At first sight thru a packet sniffer we do not see any differences in the way the emails with multiple recipients are being delivered in the two versions.
To help us out pinpointing this, could you send us your SpamFilter.ini file, along with the whitelist file containing your local domains? We'd like to duplicate your settings if possible.
In addition, if you by any chance could set up a sniffer (or Network Monitor, Etherreal or similar) to provide us with a packet trace showing the frowarding of such an email with the 617 build, that too can help in finding the problem.

Matt was correct. Thanks to his help we discovered a new bug introduced in build 517. In build 517 we added extra failsafes to guard against emails containing large numbers of To: and CC: headers.

Unfortunately there is a bug in this new feature. It occurs if the "Max Recipients" setting in SpamFilter is set to 0, which disables that filter. In this case, emails containing multiple recipients are delivered only to the 1st recipient.

We're testing a patch right now, and will release it within the next 12-24 hours. If anyone is affected by this issue, and would like the patch immediately, please contact us to obtain it.
