I've got two questions:

1. In IIS6, is there a way to add a domain to an smtp virtual server from the command line?

2. in the alloweddomains.txt how would I add a domain to that text file from the command line?

Thanks in advance!

Kevin

Kevin,

On 1.  Look at the "Admin Scripts" folder of IIS.  Dangerously powerfull stuff there.

On 2.  Am I being stupid?   Edit drive:\path\file  opens the DOS editor.

I am already using the admin scripts to create the websites and the dns, but I still need to create a domain under the virtual smtp server and the admin scripts thta I have don't do that.

Thanks for the tip Dan ;) I was unaware of the dos editor lol

I want to drop the domain name into the text file with my script, I just can't remember how.

how about "echo domainname.com >> drive:\path\file.txt"
the two '>' will cause the echo statement to append to the file.txt file
