Hi Roberto,

Just checking in to see if you found out anything regarding the missing details with the zipped database I sent you. I sent that on 6-12-04.

Thanks,

Chuck Bell

Chuck,

I have what I believe is a related issue where I have random errors between the BlockedToEmails and the MAPS rejection with occasional missing Details.  Or, do you see a lot of missing entries?  If your issue is the same, I have provided Roberto with some very detailed log and database info just today.  Does it sound the same or is your issue unrelated?

Hi Dan,

It's not really an issue simalar to yours other than there are several hundred entries that are obviously spam that are missing the rejection details. All it tells me is that there was a stastical filter match, so I'm thinking it has someting to do with the Bayesian filtering. It's really no big deal, other than the fact that it should have some sort of rejcection detyails associated with it. So far, there hasn't been any other errors or such, and there are no false positives associated with it.

It's almost like the software "forgot" to record the of the rejection details in the database. Without the details of course, it's difficult to determine why the e-mail was rejected, other than probably a Bayesian hit.

It's possible that it could be related to what you are experiencing, but I have not went that far as to determining at what point it fails.

Dan,

I just double checked and there are a couple other entries that are missing the details that are not a stastical filter match. one, is a keyword match,  another is an "emailfrom in the blacklist" entry.

Other than those two, the rest are stastical filter matches.

Hi Chuck,

To be honest I did not find any emails from you near that date. I did find a folder with your name on our internal "support share", but no files inside. So I either (1) prepared for them but never received them, or (2) I received them, forgot about them, and deleted them...

We worked with Dan on a similar problem today by coincidence. Could you please re-send your log, along with a copy/paste of the records in the database that show the blank details?

Roberto,

If yo recall I sent the file, but somehow it was stuck  in the outgoing mail queue, and the file was sent over-and-over to you that night. I will try again sometime later today or tomorrow to zip up the database. i'ts at around 500MB right now.

Thanks,

Chuck Bell
