Subject: Quarantine Database Deliver Error / More SPAM?

SPAM Filter is running on a Win 2000 Pro SP3 computer.  I am using a SQL 7 databse on another server.  SPAM Filter logs all quarantined items OK.  I cannot forward any quarantined items from the SPAM Filter interface.  I was running SPAM Filter on a WIN NT 4.0 server and had the same problem.  I had to manually create the tables needed for quarantine in my SQL 7 server.  All tests in quarantine setup passed.

Error:  Exception occurred during MarkQuarantineItemsForDelivery: -1 is not a valid value for field 'Deliver'. The allowed range is 0 to 65535

I have not tried to setup the web interface.

Over the last week or so SPAM Filter has not filtered SPAM very well.  I have 2 users who got over 100 SPAM over the weekend.  These were the same users that SPAM Filter initially reduced dramatically.  I have not change anything in my settings for SPAM Filter.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Ed,

If you manually created the tables in SQL, can you please check what Data Type you have for the "Deliver" and "Expire" fields in the tblQuarantine table? They should both be set to bit. If they are already but types, can yo uplease try changing them to int type with a lenght of 4?

If that does not work either, please le us know what version of SpamFilter you are using.

Values were "tiny int".  I changed them to bit.  Everything works fine.  Thank You

Any ideas on the amount of SPAM that seems to be bypassing SPAM Filter?

I'm seeing the same thing -- More spam getting past -- Like 30% increase.  -- last couple of weeks (since I upgraded)
