Setting the dnsbl to False DOES NOT disable it.  It tells the SpamFiltr APP that the zone format is the reverse of a normal dnsbl. ... meaning the IP is in the "forward" direction. Most dnsbl's use a reverse direction because the zone file is easier to understand and to query.

example: if the ip you are looking up is 209.140.81.18, the NORMAL (or True) setting will do a lookup as follows:

nslookup 18.81.140.209.relays.ordb.org

I just subscribed to MAPS LLC's RBL+ service. They gave me a zone name to perform lookups against, and I've entered it into my list of MAPS Servers. It doesn't seem to work.  I've e-mailed them, and they said ..

zonename.mail-abuse.org is the name of the zone, not a host - it contains A
records, it does not have one. We have 3 DNS servers that are authoratative
for this zone. You can query against the zone by performing nslookups like:

nslookup 2.0.0.127.rbl-plus.mail-abuse.org

The answer you will receive is 127.1.0.5

My question to Logsat is does Spamfilter perform lookups in this format? How does the entire MAPS lookup proccess work with Spamfilter?
