That one should instead work with RegEx.

Please don't report another bug!

Actually,  I was looking at the ALLOWED IP list and the GUI says it does but I have not tried.

The IP blacklist actually does not support RegEx... We should not have that in the documentation / the GUI. If we indicated otherwise then it's a "bug" with the documentation!

Roberto,

Do RegEx's actually work in the allowed IP's as stated?  So, for example,  if my IPs were 11.222.192/20, then instead of:

11.222.192.*
11.222.193.*
11.222.194.*
11.222.195.*
11.222.196.*
11.222.197.*
11.222.198.*
11.222.199.*
11.222.200.*
11.222.201.*
11.222.202.*
11.222.203.*
11.222.204.*
11.222.205.*
11.222.206.*
11.222.207.*

I could use:
(11\.222\.((19[2-9])|(20[0-7]))\.[0-2]?[0-9]?[0-9]?)

AND ... any advantage?

AND I know that the RegEx is not a precise IP Address syntax match but it should restrict to what I require (I think).
